Elaine Retires After 45 Years of Dedicated Service at Frank Foster

On Friday 7th of June, the Frank Foster House community gathered to celebrate the remarkable retirement of Elaine, who has been a cherished member of the team for an incredible 45 years. Elaine began her journey with Frank Foster House at the young age of sixteen, and over the decades, she has touched the lives of countless residents and staff members with her dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment.

The celebration was a vibrant affair, themed around the 1980s, reflecting Elaine’s early years at Frank Foster House. The event was a joyous occasion, with everyone from volunteers to residents participating in the festivities. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt tributes, all in honour of Elaine’s extraordinary career.

Elaine has been a cornerstone of the Frank Foster House community, embodying the spirit of care and compassion that defines the institution. Her departure marks the end of an era, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.

Nicolas, the Home Manager at Frank Foster House, shared his personal reflections on Elaine’s retirement:

“I have known Elaine since 2006. She was one of my mentors when I was a cleaner. She will be missed deeply, and we wish her a happy retirement.”
