Residents from Park View care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a shopping trip to Chelmsford.
The outing was organised following discussions at a residents’ meeting, where residents shared their ideas for activities and days out. Lifestyle Coordinators accompanied the group, with Gus providing minibus transport to and from Chelmsford.
The day began with a visit to Starbucks, where residents enjoyed a coffee before heading to Primark for some shopping. Park View residents browsed the latest fashions and selected items they wanted, including clothing suitable for the upcoming winter season.
Resident of Park View, Mary, said: “It was so nice to go out and buy our own clothes and look at all the latest fashions.”
Park View trips such as this give residents the opportunity to maintain independence and make their own choices while enjoying time in the local community. The outing also provided a chance to socialise, enjoy a change of scenery and spend time together outside the home. The Park View residents had a lot of fun!
