Park View care home residents, part of the Runwood Homesv group, staff, families and friends came together on 30 June 2026 for Park View’s Car Wash, a fantastic fundraising event organised by Diane Anderson, Lifestyle Co-ordinator, and Loren, Lifestyle Co-ordinator.
The event saw residents get involved in washing cars and vans for family members, friends and the local community, helping to raise money for Park View’s Activities Fund.
Diane said: “We have wanted to do this for a very long time. It was amazing to see our residents getting involved, working alongside staff and the public, and taking such pride in making sure every vehicle was cleaned properly.”
Residents shared how much fun they had helping with the car wash, enjoying plenty of laughter and teamwork throughout the day.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who supported the event, including local builders who brought their vehicles along, as well as families and staff who joined in. Special thanks also go to Morrisons for donating the car wash supplies.
The event was a wonderful success, bringing the community together while helping to create more memorable activities and experiences for Park View residents.
