Windmill House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, marked its 15th anniversary with a joyful celebration on 24th April 2026, bringing together staff, residents, families, and volunteers for an afternoon of recognition and gratitude.
The anniversary party was held to honour the dedication and hard work of the team who have helped make Windmill House a welcoming and supportive home over the past 15 years. Special recognition was given to staff members who have been with the home for over 10 years, as well as those who have been part of the journey for the full 15 years. Each was presented with gifts as a token of appreciation for their commitment and service.
The event also celebrated the valuable contributions of Windmill House’s volunteers and resident ambassadors, who play an important role in helping new residents settle into the home and feel welcomed from day one.
Guests enjoyed live entertainment from Chris Wilson, a delicious hog roast generously donated by Deputy Manager Joesie, along with a buffet and drinks shared by all.
There were many heartfelt comments from attendees during the event.
Nicola, a long-serving employee, shared:
“I have seen a lot in my 15 years at Windmill House, and I must say I have worked with the most amazing people, from residents to families. I’m truly honoured to be part of such an amazing work family. I love every minute of it.”
Volunteer JI added:
“Fabulous afternoon and a big congratulations to everyone.”
Nicky also commented:
“Congratulations to all, and to all the dedication you put in to bring joy to the residents.”
The anniversary served as an important reminder of the strong sense of family and community at Windmill House, and the team looks forward to many more years of providing outstanding care and support.
