Residents at Kathryn Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, are set to enjoy an exciting new opportunity to dine within the community, thanks to a special partnership with Alton Garden Centre’s All Seasons Restaurant. The initiative, which is effective immediately, ensures that residents and their friends and families can now enjoy a menu specially catered to their needs when visiting the popular garden centre.
The collaboration was born out of a desire to create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents after a previous outing with another company proved disappointing. Kathryn Court’s Lifestyle Coordinator, Donna, and the care home’s residents reached out to Karl, the catering manager at All Seasons Restaurant, who was more than happy to help—especially as Kathryn Court had previously cared for his grandmother.
“It is so important for our residents to enjoy a meal out within the community, and this partnership has not only provided that but has also strengthened our relationship with Alton Garden Centre and their restaurant team,” said Donna.
Residents have played a key role in shaping the menu, ensuring that their preferences and dietary needs are met. The project has sparked excitement, with everyone eager to see their contributions come to life.
“The residents are really excited about being out in the community and helping their fellow friends have an enjoyable experience when visiting the garden centre,” added Donna.
