Residents from Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a special day trip to Southend-on-Sea. The outing was planned during a monthly residents’ meeting, where the idea of a seaside visit was warmly welcomed.
The group spent the day by the sea, taking in the sights and enjoying a ride on the famous pier train. For many, it was a chance to revisit cherished memories. Mary, one of the residents, shared: “It brought back memories of when I used to take my children here.”
The trip created a wonderful opportunity for residents to connect with one another, relive personal moments from the past, and simply enjoy the seaside atmosphere together.
Lifestyle Coordinator at Park View Care Home said the outing was a highlight for the residents, adding that the smiles on their faces made the day especially memorable.
