Residents and team members from Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a wonderful bus trip to Summerhill Garden Nursery, where they soaked up the festive atmosphere of both Halloween and Christmas displays as part of their ongoing community engagement programme.
Residents, along with members of the Lifestyle Team, carers, and friends from the wider community, explored the nursery’s vibrant seasonal displays, admired the tropical fish and flower exhibits, and indulged in a delicious lunch at the Oliveta Café.
Louise Healy, Lifestyle Lead at Rosedale Court, shared:
“It’s so important for our residents to remain connected with the wider community and visit places they have fond memories of. Trips like these allow them to choose their own lunches, enjoy new experiences, and reminisce about the joy of past Halloweens and Christmases through the beautiful visual displays.”
The warm welcome from the local community added to the day’s success, with the Oliveta Café staff commenting,
“Lovely to see you all again. We love having you!”
