Rose House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Minnie Brown and Janet Cunningham as their new Residents’ Ambassadors. The special presentation took place on Friday, 17 October 2025, in a ceremony filled with warmth, joy, and appreciation.

During the event, Home Manager at Rose House, Jo Unwin proudly presented Minnie and Janet with certificates, badges, and bouquets of flowers to celebrate their new roles.

As Resident Ambassadors, Minnie and Janet will play a key role in welcoming new arrivals, encouraging participation in activities, and sharing valuable feedback to enhance life at Rose House. Their involvement will help create a culture of inclusion, belonging, and mutual respect throughout the home.

“New residents can often feel anxious or uncertain when they first arrive,” said Helen Hodge, Administrator. “Having Ambassadors like Minnie and Janet provides a friendly face and relatable guidance, helping others settle in and feel part of the community much faster.”

The Resident Ambassador initiative is part of a wider company-wide programme aimed at strengthening collaboration between residents and staff. By amplifying resident voices, the initiative supports a truly person-centred approach to care, one that prioritises transparency, communication, and shared decision-making.

The atmosphere during the event was heartwarming. Both Minnie and Janet were thrilled to be chosen, their faces lighting up with pride and joy. “I can’t believe I’ve been chosen!” one exclaimed, beaming. The ceremony was a touching reminder of how recognition and inclusion can create moments of genuine happiness and connection.

Rose House looks forward to seeing the positive impact Minnie and Janet will bring as they help nurture a home where every resident feels heard, involved, and truly at home.
