Tallis House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, proudly hosted a warm and joyful Award Ceremony and Tea Party to honour the incredible relatives and volunteers who have supported the home over the past two years. These dedicated individuals have contributed their time, energy, and generosity to help with events, activities, fundraising efforts, and

donations that have enriched the lives of residents.
The event, organised by Lifestyle Coordinators Rachel and Clare, celebrated volunteers with certificates, flowers, and chocolates, followed by a lively tea party complete with delicious refreshments and a little bubbly. Guests enjoyed a fun-filled quiz, a hilarious game of Charades, and a crowd-favourite “Finish the Lyrics” game.
Residents shared their appreciation throughout the evening, saying they had “a lovely evening” and that it was “fantastic as always.”
Rachel and Clare expressed their motivation for hosting the celebration, explaining that recognising volunteers was essential:
“It is important to show our gratitude and appreciation for all those who have supported us.”
The atmosphere was described as bubbly, lively, and full of music and laughter. Happy tears were shed, tables excitedly acted out animals during Charades, and everyone joined in singing during the lyric game.
The standout moment of the event was the shared laughter during Charades, with families, volunteers, and residents all getting involved together.
Tallis House extends heartfelt thanks to all volunteers whose kindness and commitment continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.
