Residents from Lower Meadow Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a lively bowling trip after sharing their wish to go bowling, which was proudly supported by the Home Manager and staff team.
The outing took place on 12 January 2026 and brought residents and staff together for an enjoyable day of bowling followed by a meal. The trip was organised in response to residents’ expressed interests, ensuring their voices and wishes were at the heart of the experience.
The atmosphere throughout the day was exciting and competitive, with plenty of friendly fun and enthusiasm from everyone involved. The event provided residents with the opportunity to socialise, enjoy a favourite activity, and spend quality time outside the home.
Fulfilling residents’ wishes is an important part of person-centred care at Lower Meadow, helping to promote wellbeing, independence, and enjoyment. This bowling trip was a great example of how listening to residents can lead to meaningful experiences.
