Frank Foster House Manager, Nicolas Kee Mew, proudly volunteered with ParaPride during this year’s London Pride celebrations held on 5 July 2025.
This marks Nicolas’s fourth year participating in Pride as a volunteer, continuing his long-standing commitment to promoting inclusion and visibility.
“I’ve always loved giving back to the community. In 2022, I was honoured to receive a British Citizen Award for my community work, an incredibly proud moment. This year marks my fourth time volunteering for London Pride, and every time it’s been a joy to be part of something so vibrant, inclusive, and meaningful,” said Nicolas Kee Mew.
Volunteering with ParaPride, an organisation dedicated to uplifting and celebrating LGBTQ+ individuals living with disabilities is especially meaningful to Nicolas. He describes ParaPride as more than just a presence at Pride, but a movement focused on creating safe, accessible, and empowering spaces where everyone is valued.
“ParaPride’s message is clear: no one should be left behind. I’m proud to stand with them in making that a reality,” Nicolas added.
The atmosphere at London Pride was filled with unity, purpose, and vibrant energy. Nicolas reflected on the power of the event, noting that volunteering is about more than showing up, it’s about taking action, building empathy, and making space for all voices, especially those often marginalised.
ParaPride is a UK-based organisation that champions inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment for LGBTQ+ people living with disabilities. Their work ensures no one is excluded from celebrating Pride or being part of the wider LGBTQ+ community.
