Loganberry Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, was filled with festive magic on 19 December 2025 as residents enjoyed a very special visit from Santa, Mrs Claus and their cheeky Elf, creating smiles, laughter and cherished Christmas memories throughout the home.
Every resident was personally visited by Santa and his helpers, spreading joy, festive cheer and plenty of playful moments. The visit was organised and delivered by Naomi, Lifestyle Coordinator, alongside Sharon, Carer, and Andy, Volunteer, who came together to create a truly memorable experience for residents.
Residents were delighted by the surprise visit, with many sharing joyful reactions throughout the day. Brian exclaimed, “Blooming hell, this is the best day ever,” while Cecile added, “You have made my Christmas, this is so wonderful. You are all amazing people.” Other moments of laughter included Audrey joking with Santa, “You woke me up when I was little, don’t do it again.”
Events like this play a vital role in supporting residents’ emotional wellbeing. Festive visits help reduce loneliness, spark childhood memories, encourage storytelling and connection, and bring moments of pure joy that have a positive impact on mood and overall health.
The atmosphere throughout the day was fun, festive and nostalgic, making it one of those truly special occasions that residents, staff and volunteers will remember fondly.
