Residents and staff at Chelmunds Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, welcomed families, friends, and members of the local community to its annual Summer Fete, bringing everyone together for an afternoon filled with fun, entertainment, and celebration.
The grounds were transformed into a lively festival hub, with a variety of stalls, interactive games, delicious food, sweet treats, and refreshments for everyone to enjoy. Guests were also entertained by live music throughout the afternoon, creating plenty of opportunities for singing, laughter, and making memories together.

“It’s not hard work if you’re doing it for the residents, families, and the community. When you get the chance to sing and work with artists like Jessica Hudson, it’s another lovely summer fete for Chelmunds Court this year.”
The annual celebration was created to bring people of all ages together and capture the traditional charm of a community fete, while giving residents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the sunshine, socialise, and spend quality time with their loved ones.
Despite the hot weather, the atmosphere remained full of energy, with the grounds filled with music, conversation, and laughter from start to finish. A standout moment was seeing such a fantastic turnout, with families, friends, and members of the wider community coming together to support residents and celebrate alongside them.
Events like the Summer Fete play an important role in connecting Chelmunds Court with the local community, creating joyful experiences for residents and showcasing the home as a welcoming place where friendships and memories continue to grow.
