The community came together at Highview Daycentre, part of the Runwood Homes Group, to celebrate the launch of the centre’s very first monthly Nibble and Natter event, a new social initiative designed to bring people together through food, conversation, and shared experiences.
Nibble and Natter is a new monthly social hosted on the last Friday of each month at Highview Daycentre. Each session will feature a different food theme, providing something exciting and new to look forward to. The initiative provides a relaxed and welcoming environment where individuals can socialise, try new foods, and enjoy meaningful time together.
For the first event, everyone enjoyed an afternoon of cheese and crackers. It was a lovely opportunity for all to sit together, share tasty nibbles, and engage in conversation. Music played in the background, creating a cheerful atmosphere that soon led to a sing-along and even some dancing.
Veronica, shared her thoughts on the new initiative:
“This is such a brilliant idea not only do we get to have some lovely food, but we also get to enjoy each other’s company.”
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with smiles, laughter, and friendly chatter. Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with many already discussing creative food themes for future sessions.
Events like Nibble and Natter are an important part of life at Highview Daycentre, as they encourage social connection, help reduce feelings of loneliness, boost mood, and support overall wellbeing. Following the success of the first session, the monthly event is set to become a much-anticipated highlight in the centre’s calendar.
