Runwood Homes Brings Movie Magic to Summer Soirée for Age UK

Movie magic came to life across Runwood Homes on 31st July as residents, colleagues and Head Office teams united for the company’s annual Summer Soirée fundraising initiative, raising money in support of Age UK.

Care homes across the group embraced the theme by transforming their spaces into scenes inspired by iconic films and characters, creating a fun-filled day of nostalgia, creativity and fundraising. Homes and Head Office worked together to support Age UK, with teams taking part in themed activities and fundraising throughout the day.

Head Office colleagues dressed as Paddington Bear, characters from Shrek, Harry Potter, and many more. At Four Acres Care Home, staff stepped back into the 1950s as the Pink Ladies from Grease, while Lower Meadow Care Home brought favourites including Frozen, Snow White, and Marilyn Monroe to life. Stafford Hall Care Home also impressed everyone with a stunning recreation of the Titanic, showcasing the creativity and teamwork of residents and staff.

The event gave residents the opportunity to relive treasured memories, celebrate their favourite films and characters, and enjoy a day of entertainment alongside family, friends and their local communities.

The Summer Soirée showcased the creativity, teamwork and community spirit across Runwood Homes, bringing people together to create unforgettable memories while raising valuable funds to support the important work of Age UK.
