Residents, staff, families, and friends at Rose House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently came together for a spectacular Spanish-themed day, transforming the home into a lively celebration of Spanish culture filled with colour, music, and delicious cuisine.
Held on Thursday 23rd April as part of the home’s Food Passport Initiative, the event brought the spirit of Spain to life with residents and team members embracing the theme through fabulous traditional outfits. Bright flamenco dresses, bold colours, and stylish accessories created a joyful and welcoming atmosphere, with everyone joining in the fun and proudly showcasing their creativity.
Throughout the day, laughter and conversation filled the home as music added a lively rhythm, encouraging residents and staff to clap along, smile, and fully immerse themselves in the celebration. Visiting family members and friends also joined in, helping to make the event even more special and strengthening the sense of community within the home.
A standout highlight of the day was the exceptional Spanish-inspired menu prepared by the home’s talented chef. Residents were treated to a delicious selection of authentic dishes, from savoury favourites to indulgent sweet treats, all carefully crafted to bring the flavours of Spain to the table. The menu was met with enthusiasm and delight by everyone attending.
Louise, Lifestyle Coordinator at Rose House, said: “Our Spanish-themed day was a fantastic success.
